He was born January 3, 1923 to Beaulah Lourine Sharp and Oliver Talmadge Massey of Black Rock, Arkansas. He was a veteran of WWII and retired from OT Massey and Associates in Memphis, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Harry Lawrence Massey, Patricia Massey and Mardel Tracey; his daughter, Melissa Ann Gaither and his wife of more than 50 years, Mary Ann. He leaves his two sons, Oliver Thomas Massey, Jr. (Cathy) and Henry Lawrence Massey (Susan); five grandchildren, Marcus Talmadge Massey (Erin), Michael Addison Gaither, Shannon Massey Hoeffler (Ian), Lauren Hall Massey and Sarah McMahen Massey; and three great-grandchildren, Brennan Gaither, Logan and Benjamin Hoeffler. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 2 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119.
