Francis Bradford Campbell

Military

He entered the service on 30 December 1942 from Portland, Maine. He enlisted as a private; he had two years of high school education, was single, without dependents and his civilian occupation was listed as: “Unskilled lumbermen, raftsmen, and woodchoppers”.

Francis was identified in the 814th MAES Enlisted Personnel picture from Bowman Field, Kentucky.

T/3 Campbell was listed on the orders we have as participating in two 437th TCG resupply and air evacuation flights: 24 June 1944 and 26 August 1944.

We also found a record of his being on an Air Transport Command (ATC) trans-Atlantic evacuation flight in May 1944.
