James Buchanan Cameron


He registered for the WW II draft on 16 October 1940, and he was listed as employed by Kroger Grocery and Baking Company, Cleveland, Ohio. He was 5' 11" inches tall; weighed 132 pounds; had brown hair, blue eyes and a 'light’ complexion.
He entered the service on 19 January 1943 from Cleveland, Ohio. He enlisted as a private; he had four years of college education, was married and his civilian occupation was listed as: “Buyers and department heads, stores”.
James was in the 814th Medical Air Evacuation Squadron (MAES) and was identified in the 814th MAES Enlisted Personnel picture taken at Bowman Field, Kentucky.
He was also listed as a member of the 'Flaps Up' newspaper, published by the 437th TCG in December 1944.
