On 03 February 1943 George entered the service as a Private from Sacramento, California. He had four years of high school education, was single, without dependents and his civilian occupation was listed as: "Semiskilled routemen".
We have him listed on orders as participating on five 437th flights: Mission DETROIT on 06 June 1944, Mission GALVESTON on 07 June 1944, the Dragoon Movement in July of 1944, Resupply and Air Evacuation Mission #49 in August 1944, and Operation VARSITY in March of 1945; although we do not have a copy of the orders, he appears to have participated in Operation Market-Garden as well.
