Alex Abramowich

Serving as a waist gunner, Sergeant Abramowich's aircraft, B24-J Liberator, 42-50486, (Butch), took a direct hit from anti aircraft fire over the target at Blechammer, Germany. Witnesses say the Liberator immediately broke in two and no parachutes were observed exiting either part of the aircraft.
