Andor F Kish

Military

Andor is from Franklin Boro, NJ. He enlisted August, 1942. He was assigned to MacDill Field/ Drew Field, Tampa, Florida. He was shipped out on the Queen Mary on Nov. 15, 1943 to Scotland and then to Matching, England. He was a member of the Franklin Miners semi-pro football team, which was well known at that time in northern NJ. As a switchboard operator and not a member of a bomber crew or fighter pilot, Andor still was important to the functions of the camp by making sure that dispatches and other forms of communication were routed to the correct places and people. Most importantly, Andor, served his country in time of need and with honor.
