Shotdown on 7/6/44 on mission to Verona in B-17 #42-31848. A/C was attacked by enemy fighters and exploded at about 14,000 feet, three chutes were seen, one burning, crashed Rovigo, It; MACR 6376. Killed in Action (KIA).
