Angelo entered the service on 31 August 1942 from Rochester, New York. He had three years of high school, was single, without dependents and his civilian occupation was listed as: “Semiskilled occupations in mechanical treatment of metals (rolling, stamping, forging, pressing, etc.), n.e.c.”. Angelo was in the 814th Medical Air Evacuation Squadron (MAES) and was listed as a technician (T/3) on several re-supply and evacuation orders in 1944.
