Willard E Burnett

Willard 'Pete' Burnett served as an aerial gunner and then as a ball turret gunner with the 331st Bomb Group of the 94th Bomb Group, flying missions out of Rougham, England. One of the crews he flew with was the Raymond C Stachowiak crew.



He flew 32 missions over France, Germany and Central Europe. Forced down in France, he was rescued by the French underground and safely returned to England.



On 14 April 1945, he was transferred to the 70th Replacement Control Depot.
