Cornwall Bridge, Cornwall, CT, USA 16 September 2013 CORNWALL BRIDGE >> Gunther Charles Hepprich, 90, of Kent Road died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years Emily R. (Henkel) Hepprich and his son, Gary Hepprich. Charlie was born Feb. 5, 1923 in Germany the son of the late Walter and Martha (Wuttge) Hepprich and brother to the late Ursula Dinneen. Charlie became a U.S. Citizen in 1936 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He was co-owner and president of Cornwall Electric Co. from 1948 until his retirement in 1987. He was a member and founder of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Cornwall. In addition to being a charter member of the Cornwall Volunteer Fire Dept., Charlie was an active member of the Litchfield Hills Historical Automobile Club and served on the Board of Directors at the Torrington Savings Bank.
