Fuller and I were friends for many years from about 1968. He was I. Fuller McCowan, so have changed the name. I know he returned to Normandy for one of the anniversaries, but unsure of which year. Here is a link to his family in Uniontown, PA. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/93211937/marguerite-mccowan From this you can see that his father was Ira, thus Fuller's given name and that Fuller was his mother's family name.
