Joined RAFVR, service pilot training, shipped overseas to ETO, operational training at Sutton Bridge OTU 35hrs Hurri's, assigned to 71S, transferred from 71 ‘Eagle’ Sqn 17-Mar-42 to USAAF as an instructor. Flew Hurricanes and Spitfires for the RAF, P-47's for the USAAF.
He was married to actress Carole Landis from January 5, 1943 until July 1945.
Post war: As civilian, worked for Goodyear. Re-activated to serve in USAF during the Korean war, returning later to Goodyear who posted him to Great Britain and Argentina. Left Goodyear in 1963 to work for General Tire in Venezuela. Was assasinated in back yard, in Prados del Este, Caracas in 1968 at the age of 51.
