On 1941-06-21, P/O Nathaniel Moranz RAFVR, 71(Eagle) Sqn, flew Hawker Hurricane Mk II Z3461 off from Redhill, Surrey at 15:50 on Circus 16 [raid by 6 Blenheims to Desvres Airfield. Failed to return, shot down by Bf 109's. Brought down in English Channel. Prisoner of war (POW) No 1372 Stalag Luft III.



NEW YORK—Nathaniel Maranz. the son of Dr. Jacob Maranz of New York, was reported missing in action by the RAF. He resigned his post as second lieutenant in the United States Army to enter the RAF., and had been reported wounded in April, 1941.
