Sam Marshall flew 110 missions as part of the 411th Fighter Squadron of the 373rd Fighter Group. He completed two tours of duty. He was awarded the Air Medal with 14 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Silver Star.
