Chester Galaski served with the 1916th Ordnance Ammunition Company.



Joan Peterson remembers:

"I remember Chester Galaski, who died outside our office window whilst harnessing a small anti-personnel bomb which misfired and exploded in his chest... He was not a flier, but he did a good job of keeping our office clean... He was in his early 20s and newly married before leaving the US."
