Pilot of B-26 Marauder "Lois Rose" - serial 4131853 - on the 25 May 1944 mission to bomb a railroad bridge at Seraing, Liège, Belgium. Landed in parachute near Aubel, Belgium and immediately captured. Sent to temporary hospital in Spa, Belgium. Transferred to Luftwaffe hospital in Saint-Gilles, Brussels. Arrived at Dulag Luft on 1 July 1944 and was interned at Stalag Luft 3 in Sagan / Zagan, Poland. MACR 5039.
