Capt. John W Goodwyn [Saginaw MI] 335th Fighter Squadron. P-51B 43-6718 WD-R "The Mary "a" II" named for his wife to be, Mary Alice Greene. Capt Goodwyn finished his tour in September and wasted little time in marrying Mary "A" on 11 November 1944.
Captain John W Goodwyn was one of the first US trained pilots to join the 4th Fighter Group.
He became Squadron Operations Officer prior to completing his tour of duty.
