Fletcher H Johnson
Military ROLL OF HONOUR1st Lieutenant Fletcher H. Johnson was born October 6, 1915. His next of kin were his father, Elbert Johnson, and his sister, Marian Johnson. He was from Middleport, New York.
On March 23, 1944, he was the pilot of B-17, tail #42-31112 when it ditched in the North Sea. A rescue launch went out to meet the men, but it caught fire and sunk. When another rescue boat searched the area, no one from the downed crew could be found. His unit was the 94th Bomb Group, 410th Bomb Squadron.
His remains were never recovered.
