Flew P-47 Thunderbolts with the 313th Fighter Squadron, 50th Fighter Group. Retired as a Colonel in 1971. Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal w/ 17 Oak Leaf Clusters, Purple Heart.
