William Stanley Munro Jr
Military ROLL OF HONOURCommissioned at 18, the youngest officer at the time. Killed on 24th mission right after 20th birthday. Operational mission to Solingen in B-17F 42-30408 'Sharon Belle', mission was scrubbed due to weather, A/C was seen to explode at the nose, crashed near Astwell Castle with all crew lost, including William, 30-Nov-43. Killed in Action (KIA).
