Military

Unit was with the 8th AF from November/December 1942 until October 1943 when group was transferred to 9th AF. Five of the above months the majority of the Air Echelon was on detached service to the Mediteranean Theater of Operations. While the 315th Troop Carrier Group was with the 8th AF, it provided cargo and passenger service around the British Isles, and provided some air drop capability for the British Airborne Forces.
