9 April 1944 - 25 April 1944 After landing at the edge of the village of Hårslev, 3km NE of Venslev, Denmark, he was helped to Roskilde, together with his Co-Pilot George Reed. On 10 April, he took a taxi to Copenhagen. On 16 April he was put on a boat to Helsingborg, Sweden and contacted the British Legation. He arrived in Stockholm on 18 April and met a Military Air attaché. Left Stockholm by air on 25 April and landed in St Andrews, UK on the following day.
