Theodore Joseph Krol
MilitaryTheodore Krol was Bombardier on B-17 42-38033 "Man O' War" shot down by fighters on return from the 20 March 1944 mission to Frankfurt. Crashed near Breuil, 20km NW of Reims, France. Evaded (EVD). Helped by French citizens and members of the Résistance, he ended up being hidden in a secret camp in the Fréteval Forest, near Châteaudun, France.
