MilitaryBasic at Missing in Action (MIA)mi Beach; AAF Tech School at CO State College; at MH 10/43 to 8/45. Arrived at MH 10/5/43 from Goxhill via truck convoy. Left MH 8/11/45 for Istres, France on board B-17. Helped paint black & white ident. stripes on a/c the night before D-Day. All aircraft towing gliders went directly over our base on 2 consecutive Sundays, enroute to Belgium. One glider landed at MH; towed by a Sterling. Brit soldiers, bicycles and a donkey were on board that glider.
