MilitaryPrisoner of War (POW) in Romania. Crashed on 8/1/43 while on Ploesti raid on TDY to 9th AF in B-24 'Pudgy' 42-40613.
Sgt. Lockey participated in " Operation Tidal Wave " one of the most daring raids of WW2. Coming in at tree top level the Traveling Circus attacks the Concordia-Vega oil refinery. The 93rd earns Presidential Unit Citation, all of the crews receive the Distinguished Flying Cross.
