2nd Lieutenant Robert T. Ellis was born October 22, 1922. His next of kin was his wife, Christine Ellis. He was from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

On September 27, 1944, he was aboard ‘Special Delivery II’, B-24 tail #42-94888, when it collided with another B-24 from its unit, the 489th Bomb Group, 844th Bomb Squadron, over Walberswick, Suffolk. There were no survivors from either plane.

He is buried in the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Philadelphia.
