369th BS Commanding Officer, 92nd BG Deputy Commander [September 1944]. Third bomb group to go to England. Original plane the 'Wahoo'. Two tours of combat duty [51 missions, 9 were with the 92nd BG]. Many close calls. Visit by King George to see my battle damaged plane and crew; special flight to North Africa in support of invasion of Sicily. Retired 1969 after 30 years service. Assignments in Japan, Hawaii, Italy (NATO), and in the US--Pentagon and SAC.



Awards: SS, DFC (OLC), AM (6OLC), Croix De Guerre, PH, WWII Victory, EAME.



He also served a term as President of the 306th BG Association
