"Moose and my Dad (Lt Col Bill Oney) flew together in the EB-66 at Shaw AFB. Moose retired as a Lt Col in the USAF. I seem to recall Moose telling the family he only flew three missions before being shot down, something the 385th BG website seems to confirm."

"When I was in college Moose asked me to build him a model of his B-17F. About all I remember about it was it had a Square "G" on the vertical stabilizer, was painted olive drab (i.e. not silver!) and he insisted on a wolf on the left-hand side of the nose. This wolf was pretty much just like the 551BS cartoon wolf, which was probably from Disney Studios."

"Moose passed away at Shaw back in the early 90s. His wife, Julie, passed a few years later."
