MilitaryPlane took a direct hit by flak in the bomb bay. Terrible explosion and plane broke in two. Front section went down in flames while tail section floated down. Jumped about 18,000 feet and was immediately captured. Two others came down on one chute. Eight crew members were killed and three survived. Plane was B-24 'Star-Eyes' #42-51089. Prisoner of War (POW).
