Other War Story |
Kalamazoo, MI, USA | "In 1975 I worked at National Waterlift in Kalamazoo, MI. There was a former German pilot there who came to the U.S. after the war. He and I talked about some things that happened during the war. He asked if I had a photo of my plane (Jamaica?), so I brought it in and showed it to him. His comment was "I had you in my gunsight and looked too long at the painting and forgot to shoot!" - Pate Given |
