93rd Bomb Group Sortie Report for 1 Aug 1943 Operation Tidal Wave mission confirms Adelbert M. Robinson on Joseph Avendano Crew.
NARA files verified TSgt Robinson received the DFC for Operation Tidal Wave (OTW) mission while flying with Joseph Avendano crew on B24 #41-24192 "Dogpatch Raiders." He was awarded the AM w/2 oak leaf clusters for earlier flights ending in October 1943 and received the PH posthumously for 20 Dec 1943 mission when he was KIA.
Of note, the official 93rd Bomb Group Sortie Reports for 1 Aug 1943 lists him with the Avendano Crew and not the Roy Martin Crew. His Find a Grave entry mentions he flew with the Bird Crew during the OTW mission, but 1st Lt Martin was the Captain of the aircraft, not 2nd Lt Luther Bird.
