Stanley Miller Burgess ("Miller") was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross as a B-17 Navigator in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He owned numerous businesses including a Sealtest Milk distributorship serving Kentucky, Tennessee and Illinois and two restaurants. Mr. Burgess was also a real estate agent and appraiser, a member of the Paducah Board of Realtors, the Kiwanis Club and the Paducah Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah.



Mr. Burgess is survived by his wife, Martha Jennings Burgess, two daughters, Candice Burgess Griffin and Susan Miller Burgess Dunkin, a son, Michael Miller Burgess, one grandson, Robert Christopher Griffin, and two sisters.
