Shot down 29 April 1944 in B-17 #42-31241 'Spirit of Wannette', Killed in Action (KIA).



Earlier 1 December 1943 on return from mission to Solingen, Germany, B-17 #42-31243 ran out of fuel and ditched in the English Channel where ASR took them to Manston. 10 returned. Pilot was Allan Eckhart (or Eckart).
