Crash landed on local training flight due to engine failure on 26 Jan 1944 in P47D #42-75414. RTD. P-47D #42-75446 was hit by MG fire and flak while flying low on a bomber support mission to Berlin on 22 Mar 1944 and crashed near Egmond-Binnen, Holland after the pilot baled out. Prisoner of War (POW).
