MilitaryCrew baled out for unknown reasons on mission to Chateaudun, FR on 5 Feb 1944 in B-24H #42-28626 'Thunderbird'. Prisoner of War (POW). He was with the French underground for two weeks before being picked up by German SS troops and over a two-week period moved to Barth, Stalag Luft I, where he remained for 15 months. He was discharged from service 30 Nov 1945 as a 1st Lt.
