Revisions
Lt Col Luther Cox was personally known by me since 1975. He was my AFJROTC instructor at Oak Ridge High School, and he was set to officiate my retirement on July 18, 2003, but he died just one month earlier at his home in Orlando, Florida. His retirement rank is a matter of official record. From 1984 to 1990, attempts were made to effect federal legislation to promote him to Colonel on the retired list, but those efforts were unsuccessful.
