He flew from Harvard, Neb. with pilot Ed Beaty and crew to Rattlesden. They turned their plane, Maid to Please, over to another crew. It didn't come back - the first loss of the unit. He later flew right seat in Stormy Weather I and II. He and his crew came home the only one without a member lost.
