Lionel W Havlas

Lionel Havlas served as a flight engineer/top turret gunner with the 751st Bomb Squadron of the 457th Bomb Group, flying missions out of Glatton, England. On 9 April 1944, he was flying in B-17 42-97465 when it was shot down. Havlas survived and was taken as a Prisoner of War. He was held in Stalag Luft XVIIb.
