Leonard Ponder


Flew 15 missions from December 1943 to 22 March 1944, first mission to Berlin, shot up over target in B-24 #42100306 'War Goddess. ' Landed on Gotland Island in Baltic Sea. Interned in Sweden for 16 months. Service dates: November 1942 to November 1945. [Documents accompany database form] 20 November 1943 accident in B24 ÒStormy WeatherÓ #41-29160 on a local formation flight. All 11 on board returned.
