Bernie Lavoice Scudday
Military ROLL OF HONOURLt. Scudday was assigned to the 44th Bomb Group, 506th Bombardment Squadron and was killed in action after his plane was shot down over France during a bombing mission.
Flying in a B-24, 41-29496 (RAM IT-DAMMIT), that took off from Shipdham assigned target Seine Bridges near Creil, France. Hit by flak in the flight deck during the bomb run. Caught fire and went into a steep dive, exploded and crashed 1949 hrs at La Ferme Megret, 550 yards south of Creil 7 KIA 4 POW. He was serving as the pilot.
