Assigned to 423BS, 306BG, 8AF USAAF. On 28-Jul-43 flew Kassel raid on 42-29974. Lost control cables by flak damage. Crash landed Framlingham Airfield, Suffolk with returning crew with 4 crew members wounded. 10 x RTD.
Shot down 8-Oct-43 in B-17 42-29959. Killed in Action (KIA). They received several direct hits from anti-aircraft fire, and received damaging effects from numerous passes of German planes. Most of the men were able to bail out when the order was given, their aircraft crippled and burning.
