MilitaryOn 14 May 1943 on first B-26 combat mission with the 8th, B-26B-4-MA was assigned a target at Ijmuiden, Holland. On the return, the A/C spun and crashed at Rougham, Suffolk. Pilot John J. Howell died, but the 5 crew members successfully bailed out.
