Mission #7 to the Gnome-Rhone engine factory in Le Mans, France. MACR 161. Wounded by 20mm shell in the right arm and side. Uconscious, T/Sgt Lane was thrown from the plane by S/Sgt Owens who pulled the ripcord on the way out. Prisoner of War at Stalag XVII-B. Liberated on a march from the camp.
