20 October 1943 - 11 January 1944 Helped by Dutch, Belgian and French citizens and Résistance members. Hidden in many places and led from Holland to Brussels, then to Paris and from there to Spain. Guided across the Pyrenees mountains and arrived in Spain on 21 December 1943. Led to Gibraltar where he arrived on 11 January 1944. Left Gibraltar by air on 17 January 1944, landing in London on the same day.
