Flew 35 missions. Authored a book about his experiences: "MY WAR: The True Experiences of a U.S. Army Air Force Pilot in World War Two", published in 2004.
Upon discharge from the USAAF in November 1945, he enrolled at the University of Southern California, School of Engineering. After graduation, he joined Cummins Engine Company. During his career with Cummins, he wrote many technical papers and served as the Chairman of the Cummins Technical Publication Policy Committee.
Now retired, he is a community columnist for the Columbus, Ind. The Republic and serves as a volunteer at the Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum.
