Assigned to 364FS, 357FG, 8AF USAAF. Credited with 7 kills and 1 damaged. Shot down GAF P-47, but not credited with kill. Failed to Return (FTR) ramrod to Bruk, Czech in P-51 42-106777. Last seen in combat covering wingman as he dealt with Me109 10 miles NW Schweinfurt crashed near Bischoffen, Province Hessen Nassau, district Dillkreis. 12-May-44 Prisoner of War (POW). MACR 4701. He made two escape attempts, and was successful on his second effort, and returned to his unit.
Awards: DFC (OLC), POW, WWII Victory, EAME.
Post war: Killed in civil aircraft 1-Oct-61.
