Last seen in combat covering wingman as he dealt with Me109 10 miles NW Schweinfurt crashed near Bischoffen, Province Hessen Nassau, district Dillkreis. 12-May-44 Prisoner of War (POW). MACR 4701. He made two escape attempts, and was successful on his second effort, and returned to his unit.



Awards: DFC (OLC), POW, WWII Victory, EAME.



Post war: Killed in civil aircraft 1-Oct-61.
