Co-pilot, Mohnacky crew. 381st BG, 534th BS, 8th AF. Shot down by fighters on mission #61 to the industrial areas of Frankfurt, Germany on 29 Jan 1944 in B-17G #42-38045. MACR 2242. Killed in Action (KIA). Lt Flood was last seen in the waist area with burns to his hands and face. He had no parachute and was assisting the others to bail out.
