Ashford, Ashford, Kent, UK 20 June 1944 Was severely injured with a broken pelvis and femur as well as burns when his a/c was hit by flak. Though he survived the crash landing in a field near RAF Ashford and was helped out of the a/c by his pilot Howard Fisher, he succumbed to shock from his injuries.
