Removed incorrect aircraft from listing. James Daugherty (grandfather) identified it when presenting us with this photo.
Son of an Irish immigrant and a Choctaw woman, he grew up on a reservation in Oklahoma. He lied about his age to join the army and followed his two older brothers fighting in Europe. After the war, he abandoned the reservation and eventually settled in Southern Oregon.
Awards: AM, WWII Victory, EAME.
