"Lt. Wildeman , who was, by the way, an ex-infantry officer attached to the JAG, was an attorney in civilian life. He was 27 years old. I liked and admired him. He was handsome and quite the ladies man, but unassuming and laconic. He gave me a quickie course in the Norden bomb sight. It was at night at 20,000 feet and bitterly cold. We were practicing bombing on the bomb range. I darned near missed the range, let alone hit the target!" - Robert L. Franklin, 19 year old navigator and crewmate
